Start with things you’ve already saved
Create a list called Christmas wishes, then add product links from the shops you like. If your ideas are scattered through a note or message, paste the whole thing into Inbox and review the items before moving them into your Christmas list.
Include a few different price points so people can choose something that suits them. You can add an idea without a shop link too, such as a favourite meal out or a bookshop voucher.
Be specific about the options
A product page might have eight colours and five sizes. Put your choice in the item’s notes: “Pink and brown, medium” is much more useful than a link on its own. Add alternatives if you would be happy with more than one option.
Bagsy can fetch product details where a shop makes them available. Check the name, image and price before saving. Retailer prices and availability can change; the shop is the place to confirm the final total.
Share once, keep updating
Open your list and choose Share, then send the invitation link to your family. They can join with a free Bagsy account on an iPhone, Android phone, tablet or laptop. They don’t need to install an app.
After joining, they see your current list, including changes you make later. Keep the invitation within the people you want to join. You can disable new invitations and manage existing members from Share.
Let everyone else coordinate the gifts
Family members can mark an item as bought so other invited people know it’s taken. Those marks are hidden from you as the list owner, keeping Christmas morning a surprise.
Marking something as bought doesn’t order or pay for it. The person giving the gift still follows the shop link to buy it. If their plans change, they can undo their own mark.
A few useful answers
Can my family use the list without an iPhone?
Yes. The invitation opens in a browser, including on Android and computers. They’ll need a free Bagsy account to join and mark items as bought.
Will I see what people have bought me?
No. Bought marks are hidden from the list owner. Other invited members can see them so they can avoid choosing the same gift.
