Bagsy stores your gift lists so you can use them across devices and share them with the people you choose.
Your account and lists
We store your account email, display name, country and currency, plus the lists, item details, links and photos you save. Supabase provides authentication, database and private image storage for Bagsy.
Sharing and surprises
Lists are private until you invite someone. Anyone with a valid invitation can see the list title and owner’s display name before signing in, and can sign in and join for 30 days after the link was created. Members can read items and mark them as bought. On personal wish lists, bought marks stay hidden from the owner. For lists set to For someone else, the owner can see bought marks and coordinate purchases with the members. Uploaded photos are currently private to the person who owns them; shared viewers can use the shop links.
Browser storage
We use browser storage for your sign-in session and preferences, and session storage to return you to an invitation after sign-in. This website does not include advertising or analytics trackers. Shared invitations are carried in the link fragment and are not sent as a page request.
Product links and optional lookups
Fetching details sends the shop link to Bagsy’s product importer and requests the public retailer page. If you choose Read item details when pasting a note, its text and links are sent to Anthropic to match sizes, colours and preferences to each item. You can review the original wording yourself instead. The iOS app offers the same choice, plus optional product matching and search with separate consent notices. Check suggested details before saving; unclear options are marked for review.
Deleting your data
You can edit or delete your own lists and items. To delete your account and its associated lists and photos, sign in and open Account → Delete account. Deletion removes your memberships and purchase marks too. Any Apple subscription must be cancelled separately in Apple’s subscription settings.
Your choices
Keep invitations within the people you want to join. Disabling invitations prevents new joins; existing members retain access until removed. Sign out when using a shared device.
